2025 Jeep Scrambler Release Date, Price and News

Jeep is producing pickup trucks for decades, starting from 1947. A little more than a year, Jeep confirmed plans for a Wrangler-based pickup truck. Rumors were circulating that the truck brand will bear the name of its previous model, including Comanche, Gladiator and, of course, Willys Jeep Truck. But, that wasn’t the case. Instead, it has a nameplate Scrambler. Based on the spy pictures of new 2025 Jeep Scrambler, we can see it will feature a crew cab body and a reasonably sized bed.

Everything points out that it reminds of the latest JL Wrangler, including front bumper, and it is expected that the interior won’t be much different. A conventional flip-down trunk, as always sits on the back of the vehicle. There is a possibility that a two-door model will be added.

Design: Exterior – Interior

The sure thing we know for now is a reasonably sized truck bed at the back of the new 2025 Jeep Scrambler. With that in mind, we can assume that the Jeep lengthened the frame to fit the bed. That means that the 2025 Scrambler will be more stable on-road driving and trailer towing. But, this may indicate that the capability of Scrambler, for off-road adventures, might be slightly less maneuverable.

Also, it might be that the Scrambler’s body is made of aluminum. Although the spy photos show the 4-door prototype, there are rumors that a two-door model will be available as well. According to Scrambler Forums, there is every possibility that it will have the removable roof, just like a regular Wrangler. As for the interior, it will be the same as in the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JL.

The dashboard, instrumentation, infotainment system, and seats are included in this. The difference will be visible in used materials that are now high-ended and soft-touch surfaces. It will also have more buttons for controlling the locks, front sway bar, and toggle switches. All of this is placed at the bottom of the center stack. Despite all this new stuff, the Scrambler still has precisely what off-roaders want.

Engine

As far as motors are concerned, it is expected to be within Wrangler’s SUV specifications. The base of the engine bay is reserved for a turbocharged 2.0 Liter “Hurricane.” The speculation is that the engine output potential will be of nearly 300 horsepower available. A hybrid drivetrain system will be added, but only after it debuts on Wrangler.

The power of the Scrambler is accommodated in 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 powertrain with horsepower set at 315 and with 280 pound-feet of torque. One more option for those who prefer off-roading or plan to haul is the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel. Its potentiality of horsepower is 240 with stump-pulling 420 pound-feet of torque. All three engines are coming with the ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and standard 4WD.

Competitors

The most significant competitor of new Jeep Scrambler is a Chevrolet Colorado Z71. Colorado might have either the 3.6-liter V-6 or GM’s new 2.8-liter Duramax four-cylinder turbodiesel. The second biggest competitor is Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road. The Tacoma comes with an all-new 3.5-liter V-6 engine. As we can see, there is a slight difference in powertrains, but when you look at the vehicles, there is a visible difference in exterior designs and upgraded interiors.

Prices of the trucks are approximate to each other. The cost of the Chevrolet Colorado starts at $35,735, the starting price of the Toyota Tacoma is $32,315, and it is expected that the price of the Jeep Scrambler 2025 will be similar.

2025 Jeep Scrambler Price Release Date

The price has not yet been publicly announced, but we expect it to be within the what we said above. The 2025 Jeep Scrambler will undoubtedly be competitive with other mid-size pickups. Based on the previous model Wrangler and competition, there is a possibility that initial price will start around $35,000. As for the release date, it is expected to hit showrooms at the very beginning of 2025 . There is a strong possibility of a debut at the 2025 Detroit auto show next January.
